Trade School Education
written by stephanie henry, February 17, 2010
Was interested in hearing what you think of increasing trade/skills education on the high school (helping with drop out rates and truancy) and continued educational schools.
Not everyone wants to go on to main stream college or work in the technical/electronics fields.
I attended a high school that had extensive auto mechanic/metal shop/woods/FFA curriculum. Along with a top nationally rated music, sports, and science programs....and NO, it wasn't private. It was a public school that believed kids were different.
While I believe our schools do a fairly good job and getting our youth ready for conventional universities and technical schools---there isn't much for those looking to become auto mechanics, electricians, carpentors, and construction.

I look forward to hearing back from you on this issue, Sir.
