Fair Tax

I give my solemn pledge to all Fair Tax supporters across America and my home state of Georgia; I will endeavor to ensure that we the people take back our country and reclaim our freedoms from an intrusive and corrupted tax code that has been manipulating our behavior since most of us have been born. We will, additionally, reclaim jobs that have moved off shore due to invasive taxes under our current system.

Pro-Life Georgia

Abortion is the taking of that precious gift, an innocent life. As Governor, I will oppose abortion at any point of gestation. In those rare cases where the life of the mother is endangered by a continuation of the pregnancy, sound medical practice would dictate that every effort should be made to save both lives.

2nd Amendment

The Supreme Court's ruling on District of Columbia v. Heller is a clear indication that we should never take our constitutional rights for granted.The high court affirmed, by only a one vote margin, what a vast majority of Georgians already know: the Second Amendment guarantees our citizens the right to keep and bear arms. We must be vigilant in defending this right. As Governor, I will steadfastly support and defend the Second Amendment rights of Georgia citizens. Programs such as, the national firearms registration and the assault weapons ban, are nothing more than infringements on these rights.

Scrap the Tax Code

For eight years, Republicans have controlled state government. For eight years, we have governed under outdated rules established by the liberals in the Georgia Democrat Party.

I will govern in the philosophy of Ronald Reagan – I will stake out a solid conservative approach to government.

We will start by totally scrapping the current Georgia tax code and developing a modern, 21st century blueprint for operating state government; one that is based in solid conservative, free enterprise philosophy and cuts out those functions best managed by the private sector.

Contract with Georgia
