Another independent poll confirms John Oxendine as the front runner for Governor. Strategic Vision released a poll this morning (all 12 questions are copied at the end of this message). Question 10, focused on the Republican Primary for Governor, the results are as follows:
John Oxendine 33%
Karen Handel 14%
Jack Kingston 11%
Lynn Westmoreland 7%
Sam Olens 4%
Mark Burkhalter 2%
Ray McBerry 2%
Austin Scott 2%
Undecided 25%
John Oxendine thanks the Grassroots of the Georgia GOP who continue to honor him with these results. Three important notes of interest, Members of Congress are included in this poll, John leads undecideds, and John maintains a 2 to 1 lead over his closest opponent. One poll can give you an idea of where people are. Two polls, with the same results, are an affirmation of those opinions. When you have four polls, all more or less saying the same thing, that is momentum.
Perdue for Handel - Grassroots for Oxendine:
Prior to Casey Cagle withdrawing, Karen Handel and her campaign were working hard behind the scenes to clear the primary field. They have been under the illusion that this election is really a coronation effort by the Perdue team to crown Karen the Republican nominee. There has been a blatant attempt to clear the field and have insiders control the process, but by doing so, they are taking away the voice and the role of the Georgia GOP Grassroots. John Oxendine is in this race to represent the Grassroots of Georgia and be their voice at the state Capitol.
Since Casey Cagle's withdrawal, Karen Handel has sent out at least two press releases which have made it perfectly clear Karen Handel has the full support and organization of Governor Sonny Perdue. If you want a status quo politician, then Karen Handel is your candidate.
If you want a Ronald Reagan conservative who will empower the Grassroots leaders of the Georgia Republican Party, then John Oxendine is your candidate.
It is also interesting to note, Karen sends out press releases talking about her staff and her supporters. In fact, the releases talk about everyone and anyone but Karen and her conservative philosophy. Karen Handel may have the high priced Perdue staffers, but Team Oxendine has John Oxendine, the Grassroots candidate.
John Oxendine is proud to come from, fight for, and represent the Grassroots leaders of the Georgia Republican Party.
